Pivotal to the plan for the A.S APOTHECARY shop was the decision to bring therapists to the space who would offer our clients the opportunity to both experience our products through massage and facials and also to have access to excellent wellbeing therapists who could improve health.
To this end we are delighted to introduce you to each of them:
I offer a deeply rejuvenating 90 minute full body Aromatherapy Massage treatment using ethically sourced organic and wild crafted essential oils. Therapeutic aromatherapy massage combines the profound benefit and nourishment of touch and therapeutic effect of the essential oils. I am fascinated with the unconscious transformative power of smell and deeply respect the power of essentials oils. I believe they can be understood more fully as ‘molecules of connection’, bridging our relationship between the natural world and the sensuality of being human. In a respectful, intimate and safe space I offer you the chance to pause and reconnect with your body and inner stillness. I work alongside the rich intelligence of the body, with a flowing rhythmic massage that brings balance to your whole being. I am also an advanced certified specialist in aromatherapy in pregnancy and menopause, and can help to a support a woman’s journey from conception to birth as well as easing the impact of hormonal changes in a woman’s later life cycles and seasons. I graduated from the widely respected Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy (ITHMA, Regents University, London) in 2010, and later worked as a practitioner educator. I am a member of International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists. My integrated approach to wellbeing is strongly informed by my teaching practice in the therapeutic healing modalities of Aromatherapy, Massage, Hatha Yoga and my personal practise of 5Rhythms and movement meditation. I love walking my Lurcher dog Peggy Sioux along the coastal paths of the South Downs and building dens with my son.

I am a holistic therapist and ‘green’ makeup artist offering natural organic facials, massage and make-up services. I’ve been working as a makeup artist in fashion and weddings for the past seven years. I am passionate about wellness and using natural, safe products with beautiful, quality ingredients which are free from toxins. I pride myself on having a calm, compassionate personality and a good listening ear, I really enjoy the element of making people feel happy and confident. I’m so grateful to do the thing I love, it doesn’t really feel like work at all!. Facials are my favourite treatment because they have so many benefits. They’re obviously brilliant for making your skin look great but they’re also incredibly relaxing and great for relieving stress. I believe that beauty is something that comes from the inside out. With this in mind, I approach my treatments with a holistic outlook and take into account the whole picture to help you achieve a natural, radiant glow and a balanced lifestyle. When I’m not working I love going for long walks in the countryside or having a ridiculously long bath!

I am a woman of the woods, in love with nature, especially plants and trees. I love to dance and climb and to swim in wild places. I also love literature and film, especially animation. Homeopathy has been a lifelong passion for me, curing me of a life-limiting illness when I was a teenager and inspiring me to take seriously alternative medicines and healing naturally. I practice from home, as well as at A.S. APOTHECARY, and I am also a Consultant Homeopath at Helios Pharmacy in Tunbridge Wells. I work with people, and animals, from all walks of life including family groups. I work integrally, combining my practice of homeopathy with nutritional and dietary support, as well as using flower essences and herbal tinctures to support recovery. I have been a practicing buddhist most of my adult life and I think my friends would say that I am kind, insightful and determined, as well as both fun and serious in equal measure. I live in Lewes, have four children, like to cook and to relax in front of a fire with a good book or a radio play. My current ambition is to be a better gardner, and to keep responding creatively to the people and experiences that life brings my way. I studied Modern Languages at Oxford, went on to do an MA in Human Rights but after a brief misguided foray into International Relations, I trained in Contemporary Dance and then became a dance teacher for most of my career before training in homeopathy at South Downs School in Chichester. In my spare time, I run Rites of Passage Camps in Sussex woodlands for teenage girls. I look forward to welcoming you to the practice space at Amanda's Apothecary in Lewes.

I have been specialising in women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and post-birth issues for 9 years. I use an integrative approach to health and well-being, using Acupuncture, Tuina ('twee-na' - Chinese massage therapy) as well as lifestyle and dietary advice in order to treat you as a whole, on a physical emotional and mental level. Acupuncture views the person as a landscape, mapping the mind and body: taking into account seemingly unrelated symptoms, health history and general constitution to create an in-depth Chinese Medicine pattern diagnosis and bespoke treatment plan - targeting the root of the problem whilst addressing the branch symptoms. Acupuncture is a wonderful tool for removing these ingrained patterns layer by layer bringing your body back into alignment and health.
